Remove junk before it crashes your PC

Clean Master is one of the best free Android apps for removing junk from your device and speeding it up. It now has a new Desktop version that does the same for your PC. Its most useful feature lets you set reminders that prompt you to clean your PC after a certain amount of time has elapsed or when junk exceeds a specified limit. You can either clean junk on an individual basis or in one go.

 Go to Clean Master Website and click the Free Download button. Click the setup file that downloads to your PC, tick both the boxes (T&C and 'Create a desktop shortcut'), then click Install. As soon as it's installed, Clean Master will begin scanning your PC. To delete junk only from a specific location, click it in the scan-results screen. Click Details if you want to see the selected item's scanned junk, and then click Clean Up to delete it. If you want to retain junk (for example, from within your browser's cache), click Ignore.

Before cleaning all junk in one go, close any open programs on your Desktop. Now click Clean Now at the top right. If Clean Master thinks you may still need any of the junk files it has found (for example, your driver cache), you'll see a pop-up asking you to confirm removal. Click Clean Up to do that or Ignore to retain your driver cache and clean the rest of your PC. You can still clean these junk files later by clicking the box icon and then clicking Clean Up. If you have a program running in the background that Clean Master couldn't clean during the scan, it'll appear at the top. Click Close & Clean to force-close and clean it. This will only stop the program running, not uninstall it.

To set Clean Master's reminders, click the down arrow a then Settings. You'll see two `Reminder frequency' sliders. These trigger reminders to clean your PC based on a time period and the amount of junk accumulated. Set the first slider to '1 week' and the second to 800M (MB), which we think are the best settings. When you see a notification reminder, run Clean Master.
