How to Play photos on your PC as aslideshow

Playing photos on your PC as a slideshow can add a nice touch to a birthday or anniversary celebration – and you don’t need to install software to do it. In Windows 7, open the folder with your photos, then click the ‘Slide show’ button at the top. In Windows 8 and 10, click the Manage tab on the Ribbon, then click ‘Slide show’.

The photos will play in order and each one will be displayed for five seconds, although you can change this. Use the spacebar to play and pause the slideshow.

Right-click any photo that’s currently playing within the slideshow to see options to shuffle (randomly re-order) the photos and to change the playing speed (see screenshot above). The Slow setting displays each photo for about 10 seconds and the Fast setting for about three. Press Esc to exit the slideshow.
