Make Quick Photo Edits in Windows for Free

One of the easiest free photo-editing apps for Windows is  Photo Editor by Aviary. To install it, go to this link, then click the 'Get the app' link, which takes you to its page in the Windows Store. Install and open the app, click the Browse button, navigate to the photo you want to edit, then click Choose. 

The app has 14 editing tools at the bottom. Click Apply after using any of the tools. The Enhance tool (bottom left) lets you apply a one-click effect that automatically improves your photo by adjusting its brightness, saturation and contrast. Select Orientation to rotate your photo and Crop if you need to trim it. There are also individual sliders to modify your photo's brightness, contrast, saturation and sharpness. 

The Text option lets you add a text box and enter a caption, while Drawing lets you select a brush width and colour, then scribble over your photo. The Redeye tool will eliminate the adverse effects of flash from subjects' eyes. Click the circle at the bottom, then select the affected eye(s) in your photo to remove the effect. Click Done at the top right when you're happy with your edits. To access your edited photos, open the Pictures folder in your PC's library, then open the Aviary Photos folder.
