How to Delete Apple’s built-in apps with iOS 10
Apple’s latest mobile operating system iOS 10 is the first version to let users remove most of the built-in apps. In all, 23 apps can be deleted from your device which includes.

- Find My Friends
- Home
- iBooks
- iCloud Drive
- iTunes Store
- Maps
- Music
- News
- Notes
- Podcasts
- Reminders
- Stocks
- Tips
- Videos
- Voice Memos
- Watch app
- Weather
Of these, you should certainly remove
the Home and Watch apps unless you
have ‘smart’ and household devices
(such as thermostats) or wear an Apple
Watch. To remove an app, press its icon
for a few seconds (until the icon begins
to shake) and a grey cross will appear at
its top left. Tap the cross, then tap
Remove. If you want to restore a deleted
app, open the App Store and find it
using the search bar.
Removing built-in apps from your Home screen can affect other system functionalities. Like for example, If you remove the Music app, you may be unable to play some audio
content using Apple apps or third-party apps on some car stereos or
stereo receivers or If you remove the Calculator app, the calculator won’t appear in Control Center.
