Add a dropdown menu to a cell in Google Sheets

If you are new to Google Sheets, and you want to create a cell with drop-down menus of options you can click to select quickly,then here's how you can do it.

First, go to sheets.google.com, log in with your Gmail account, then open the sheet you want to add the drop-down menu to, or click Blank to create a new sheet.

Now enter the options for your drop-down menu in a column(B in Screenshot)

Next, right-click the cell you want to add the drop-down menu to (A1 in our screenshot), then click ‘Data validation’ at the bottom. 

Click the small table in the Criteria field.

Click the small table in the Criteria field, select the cells in the B column, click OK,then Save. 

You’ll now see a small drop-down menu in cell A1. Click it to see the values/ options in your B column as a drop-down menu that you can click to select.
