How To Download free (and legal) music for your videos

Windows Movie Maker has useful links to websites that let you listen to, then download copyright-free music and sound effects. These are great for embellishing your videos. Search for Movie Maker on your PC (it comes as part of Windows Essentials). You can also install it as a standalone program from Here .

You can’t search for these free music samples unless you first add the video you’re editing to Movie Maker, so click ‘Add videos and photos’ at the top left, select the video from your PC, then click Open. Now click the ‘Add music’ dropdown menu. You’ll see three websites in the ‘Find new music online section’ . While all three websites have paid-for music, you can easily search for and listen to tracks and sound effects that are free.

Click the download icon beside them to do that. To add the downloaded track to your video, click the ‘Add music’ dropdown menu again, select ‘Add music’, navigate to the Downloads folder, select your audio file and click Open.
